This assignment was to create a new magazine with focused, curated content, and eye-catching layouts by choosing a topic we were passionate about. Dance has always been my whole life. It took up all of my childhood into high school and has made a huge impact on me. I learned about some of my favorite and most influential ballerina’s throughout history. Maria Tallchief was a Prima Ballerina that had a very moving and emotional story of how she got to where she was. I took this assignment and made it a timeline throughout history to show some of the most influential ballet dancers that made a big impact in the dance world. I wanted this magazine to be clean yet elegant with a splash of color. I wanted to focus on the dancer by using powerful images showing them dancing. My research, dedication, and interest produced this modern take on a magazine focusing mostly on the past.
